The meaning of lifeAugust 13th, 2010 @ 12:43 pm
I have never understood the obsession with the meaning of life… Why should life mean the same thing to everyone as if we all must arrive at the same achievement at some stage in our lives or we have failed. Why does life have to be about pass or fail?
I think life is a gift, it is whatever we make of it. Our mission in life should be to achieve what we wanted to get out of life, to do what makes us happy and to fulfill our own goals. I think that people who seek a greater meaning behind their lives just need to be more content in themselves, to be able to just believe in the future and that it’s never to late to make your dreams come true, nor is anything impossible. Don’t dwell on your mistakes, it never helps and it only serves to amplify the negativity associated with those memories.
It makes me sad to think that there are people dying, fading away with hunger, age and illness; even young children with cancer and at the same time so many perfectly healthy people are out there who just take life for granted
So to quote my favourite, cheesy, Pokemon movie quote:
“You should be happy, you’re alive and life is wonderful.”
